Who is this STARING BACK AT ME?

Have you ever woken up, looked in the mirror and wondered who is this staring back at me?

As we get older our faces naturally change, something we all accept as part of getting older but sometimes it can seem as though all these changes have hit you overnight and all at once.

You suddenly have dry, tired skin and feel like you look much older than you did yesterday.  Your skin seems uneven and patchy and for some reason your make up just doesn’t go on as well as it used to. Suddenly it feels like you have become unrecognizable, is someone else staring back at you in the mirror?

You’re starting to wonder whether there is anything you can do to turn back the clock or even just slow it down……but you don’t want to take drastic action, go under the knife or do anything that will be too obvious.

We totally get it, we understand that you want soft and subtle changes to restore your skin to feel more youthful, energized and radiant.  We aim to deliver artisan aesthetics with a natural, delicate approach driven by biology and individuality.  Our range of products and treatment packages can provide solutions to any of your skin ageing concerns.  Book a consultation to find out what treatments could provide the results you are looking for.

NF+ Plasma Pen

Exciting announcement!

NF+ Plasma Pen Treatment is now available at SmileKind!  This revolutionary non-surgical, non-invasive treatment is providing amazing results and we are excited to share with you just how exciting this is!

What is NF+ Plasma Pen?
The NF+ Plasma Pen is a gentle, non-surgical alternative to skin tightening treatments.  It uses plasma and low frequency technology to target lines and wrinkles, loose skin, scars, skin tags, warts, moles and skin pigmentation.  The pen projects a small electrical arc from its tip onto the surface of the skin without making direct contact with the skin.

How does NF+ Plasma Pen Work?
The plasma arc vaporises the targeted point, immediately tightening the surrounding skin.  These small areas of affected skin form a scab which will take around a week to heal, revealing tighter, smoother skin.  Skin tags can be removed instantly and warts and pigmentation spots will crust and fall off over the healing period.

What can NF+ Plasma Pen do?
NF+ Plasma Pen can treat a number of skin concerns that would normally require surgery.  NF+ Plasma Pen can help to:
  • Reduce lines & wrinkles
  • Eye-lid lifts (non-surgical blepharoplasty)
  • Tighten skin on the neck & jawlie
  • Remove skin tags & warts
  • Lighten sun pigmentation
  • Resurface acne scarring
  • Remove or correct permanent make-up
  • Remove small tattoos

Is it for me?
If you would like to achieve skin tightening, an eye-lid lift or neck/jawline lift but are concerned about the implications of surgery, NF+ Plasma Pen treatment is a great, non-surgical and non-invasive alternative that has the benefits of surgery without the risks & recovery concerns!

What should I expect from treatment?
During your consultation we will thoroughly explain the do's & font's of treatment.

Plasma treatment is really very straightforward and comfortable.  To keep treatment as pain-free as possible we will apply a topical anaesthetic prior to treatment.  When we are treating the eye area it is likely that you will experience some minor swelling which should resolve within 3-4 days.  All areas treated will form tiny circular scabs, as things rejuvenate and heal these will begin to fall away after approximately 3 days, sometimes this can take up to a week in some cases.  An aftercare package will be given to you and will include a pigment cream to cover the dots if required.  Once healed you will begin to see rejuvenated, tighter and more youthful looking skin.

How many treatments will I need?
In most cases a single treatment is needed.  It may be necessary to carry out a series of treatments to achieve the exact look you are going for or if we are removing/correcting permanent make-up or small tattoos.  Results are permanent however may need to be repeated years down the line as further ageing occurs.

Why replace missing teeth with Dental Implants?

7/29/2018

Have you got missing teeth?

Have you ever wondered whether you should consider replacing them? There are various options for replacing missing teeth, here's 5 great reasons to choose Dental Implants!
Reason #1
Dental Implants are stronger and more durable than other types of tooth replacements.  Where dentures & bridges have a limited lifespan, Dental Implants (when cared for correctly) should last you a lifetime!

Reason #2
You care for Dental Implants the same way that you would care for your own teeth!  You will brush, floss and visit your dentist & hygienist regularly, just like looking after your own natural teeth.

Reason #3
Implants look, feel and act just like natural teeth.  There is no worrying about them moving, coming out or affecting your speech.  You won't need to worry about feeling self-concious as no-one will know that they are not your own teeth.

Reason #4
Dental Implants help preserve healthy bone.  When a tooth is lost, the bone shrinks away which can impact adjacent teeth.  Implants help preserve the bone structure helping to protect you from further tooth loss.

Reason #5
Dental Implants can help you stay looking younger! Implants are more aesthetically pleasing, not only do they look just like a natural tooth but they also help preserve the natural structure of your jaw bones, making sure you maintain a younger and healthier appearance.

TOP TIPS FOR LIVING WITH DENTURES

7/29/2018

Picture
Starting your Denture journey can be a challenge. Learning to eat, speak and smile with false teeth doesn’t always come naturally but it can be a vast improvement than living with missing teeth.

Here are our top tips for living with dentures to help you smile with confidence.

  1. Practice Speaking- when you first get your new dentures it’s a good idea to practice speaking, read a book out loud or in front of the mirror.  This will help your mouth get used to the feeling of the new dentures and will help your muscles adapt more quickly to having them in your mouth.  You will soon feel more confident speaking with your new dentures in place.
  2. Keep your dentures clean- use a soft brush to gently clean your dentures twice a day to prevent plaque build-up.  It’s best to clean them over a filled bowl or sink to avoid any accidents if you drop them! Plaque build up on your dentures will cause bad breath and can lead to unsightly staining on your new teeth.
  3. Take care of your gums- a soft brush should be used to gently clean your gums twice a day, keeping your gums healthy is essential even when you have lost your teeth.  Remember to leave your dentures out overnight to give your gums a rest.
  4. Don’t panic if they slip- dentures are prone to moving around, even when they fit well, sometimes an abrupt movement like sneezing, smiling or laughing may cause them to move.  It’s good to know that when this happens the best thing you can do is to bite down and swallow, this will help settle them back into place.  If your dentures are moving excessively you should visit your dentist to get them checked.
