Clinical Dental Technician
GDC No. 207808
GDC No. 207808
Emily qualified as a dental nurse in 2010 after working in a variety of dental practices in London, gaining experience in both NHS and private dentistry, she moved quickly into a lead nurse role with responsibilities in stock ordering, staff management and treatment coordinating. She then decided to switch career paths and subsequently qualified as a dental technician in 2014. Upon graduating Emily moved down to Dorset to continue advancing her knowledge and skills and achieving her full extended scope of practice over the next few years.
Emily’s focus of technical expertise is composite work; she takes great care in discussing with the patient the shade and tone of gum and tooth work to get an exact fit to that patient’s mouth and thus a more natural smile. She has also co-designed a revolutionary new implant technique which allows safe and predictable immediate loading of implants with a strong base.
Emily recently qualified as a Clinical Dental Technician from the University of Central Lancashire which allows her to see our patients direct for complete dentures and sports guards and on a dentist prescription for other dental devices. Emily works closely with our dentists to bring her extensive knowledge of dental prosthetics to benefit our denture patients. She has a strong understanding of all denture types ranging from simple one-tooth denture cases to full implant-retained smiles for patients without natural teeth and complex restorative cases.
Having won the ‘Best Dental Technician’ in the UK for the last two years and worked in a hospital setting and alongside specialists for over 5 years, we know our patients are in the best hands with Emily.
