Payment Terms & Conditions
Cancellation Policy
We understand that from time to time it is necessary to make changes to your scheduled appointments and we try to be as flexible as possible to allow for this. We are always happy to accommodate changes but we politely request that a minimum of 72 hours notice is provided. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice may incur a fee.
Charges for Appointments
1. Free Consultation Appointments
At the time of booking a free consultation we will take credit/debit card details over the telephone to take a refundable deposit of £30. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 72 hours notice or should you fail to attend your scheduled appointment then we will charge a £30 fee.
2. Full Assessment Appointments
The fee for a full clinical assessment varies depending on the type of treatment you are considering, you will be asked to pay this fee at the time of booking your appointment. Should you decide at any time before your appointment that you do not wish to proceed you will be entitled to a full refund of this fee provided that more than 72 hours is provided. Should you cancel with less than 72 hours notice you may be charged up to £50 and refunded the difference.
3. Hygienist Appointments
Direct Access & First Visits - at the time of booking you will be asked to pay the full appointment fee over the telephone, this is refundable up to 72 hours before your scheduled appointment. Should you cancel with less than 72 hours or fail to attend we reserve the right to retain the fee as a late cancellation/fail to attend fee.
Regular Hygiene Appointments - we will take a 50% deposit at the time of booking, if you need to change or cancel your appointment this is transferrable to the new booking provided you give us a minimum of 72 hours notice. If you fail to provide 72 hours notice for changing or cancelling your appointment or should you fail to attend we reserve the right to retain the deposit as a missed appointment fee. Should you attend your appointment the deposit balance will be credited to your appointment fee balance on the day.
4. Treatment Planning Appointments
Once you accept a treatment proposal you may be scheduled for a treatment planning visit which will involve further diagnostic tests and discussions. The fee for the planning element of your treatment will be outlined in your treatment proposal, you will be asked to pay this fee at the time of booking your appointment. Should you decide at any time before your appointment that you do not wish to proceed you will be entitled to a full refund of this fee provided that more than 72 hours is provided. Should you cancel with less than 72 hours notice you may be charged £50 and refunded the difference.
5. Treatment Visits
For all treatment visits you will be asked to pay 50% of the treatment value at the time of booking. Should you decide at any time before your appointment that you do not wish to proceed you will be entitled to a full refund of this fee provided that more than 72 hours is provided. Should you cancel with less than 72 hours notice you may be charged a fee and refunded the difference.
6. Finance Plans
If you would like to spread the cost of any treatment at SmileKind using our finance plans you will need to carry out an application at least 2 weeks before starting treatment. The value of your finance will be agreed before treatment commences and the treatment and value of treatment included will be outlined in your treatment plan. When you take out a finance plan, it will be subject to a 14 day cooling off period, treatment cannot commence until this period is complete.
