Sami has always aspired towards achieving the ITI scholarship and this year he has finally done it!
Sami has been selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a year at the prestigious ITI centre in Graz, Austria. The ITI (International Team for Implantology) awards up to 20 scholarships each year to help young clinicians in their training in implant dentistry and related treatments. ITI Scholars spend their scholarship year at one of the ITI Scholarship Centers around the world. Over the next 12 months Sami will be spending time learning from the best and training in the latest treatments and techniques in Oral Surgery & Dental Implantology. The mission of the ITI Scholarship is “to promote and disseminate knowledge on all aspects of implant dentistry and related tissue regeneration through research, development and education to the benefit of the patient”. During his scholarship Sami will gain insight into case planning, implant surgery and prosthetic restorations and will also be actively involved in research and teaching. Sami is excited to bring back a whole host of new skills & techniques to benefit his patients & colleagues. During his scholarship Sami will continue to care for patients in the UK with frequent trips home to ensure continuity for all of his patients, whilst he is away his Specialist Oral surgeon colleague Mr Alaa Aldaadaa will continue to be on hand to assist any patients or offer support to referrers in Sami's absence.
